The Golden Spoon Award in Vietnam: Chef Jack Winning the second place with just ONE day preparation.


The “Golden Spoon” is a nationwide cooking contest of professional chefs. Its purpose is to search, discover, preserve, tap into the quintessence of the Vietnamese cuisine with the message that “every dish speaks for a region’s culture” and earn global recognition for Vietnamese food. Even more important is the aim of improving human health, boosting the economic development by way of promoting the culinary industry and “Viet Nam Culinary Tourism” brand name. The contest is sponsored by the Ly’s Horeca product line.
The first “Golden Spoon” contest on October 15th, 2013 raised a great deal of interest and was acclaimed by the media and public opinion for its professionalism, attractiveness, humanist significance and the wonderful creativity of the contestants as materialized in their dishes.
Following the success of the first one, the second contest was organized in May 2014 amidst great expectations. Throughout its thrilling contest rounds it unraveled a series of innovative, attractive and sensational events and was the occasion for the Chefs’ creativity to blossom in full. The same professional and talented Chefs are to be the ambassadors of Viet Nam’s culinary culture overseas. Along with the F&B experts the attendance of guests of fame contributed to the success of the event.
